To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour
William Blake
PLEASE GIVE TO HELP SAVE THE COTTAGE
To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour
William Blake
William Blake’s former Grade II* listed cottage in Felpham is where he wrote some of his finest works – including the immortal words of Jerusalem. Today, The Blake Cottage Trust is dedicated to preserving this unique home by the sea, conserving its fabric, researching and restoring its historic garden and sharing Blake’s life, art and ideas with the world. Your legacy gift will help safeguard this inspirational place, learning and wellbeing opportunities, foster community engagement, and ensure that Blake’s visionary spirit continues to inspire artists, musicians, writers and dreamers for generations to come.
We are sincerely grateful for every gift we receive, whether that's a gift in your will – either a financial contribution or the gift of a relevant object – or a donation in memory of a loved one.
Your legacy will have a lasting impact
Remembering The Blake Cottage Trust by leaving a gift in your will, no matter what size, can help us on our important journey to open this internationally important cottage for the first time in its history. It will also support ongoing care for the fabric, deliver innovative learning and research, support artists and makers, and keep the museum open and accessible for future generations.
If you'd like to remember The Blake Cottage Trust in your will, our Chair of Trustees would be happy to discuss how your gift could benefit the future work of the Cottage.
When we lose a loved one, remembering them in a meaningful way can bring consolation. Your gift can help the memory of a friend or relative live on while supporting the Trust’s work.
Our Chair of Trustees would be happy to talk to you about giving a gift in memory or setting up a tribute fund.
