Guided tours of Blake Cottage
The Blake Cottage Trust’s growing library brings together books and other media exploring William Blake’s life, poetry, art and influence. The collection consists of hundreds of books and other items, and cataloguing is in progress. We have received generous donations of substantial Blake-focused book collections, enriching the library with biographies, editions of his writings, studies of his art and ideas, exhibition catalogues and translations. These gifts are helping us build a valuable resource for everyone with an interest in Blake. In due course, we plan to make the collections publicly available for research, study and enjoyment as part of a centre celebrating the life and work of William and Catherine Blake.
Dr Irene Campbell, the Trust’s librarian, is responsible for maintaining the catalogue and checking the collection’s records, including editions, individual copies and the acknowledgement of donors. The online catalogue presents the records approved for public use.
Donations to the collection are always gratefully received. Please contact the Trust to discuss books or other media you would like to offer.
